Just an amateur keen on photography and conservation. Documenting the wildlife I spot in my garden (my garden is more a wildlife reserve than a garden!). Also documenting the creation and evolution of a wildlife pond.

  1. Jane, I would like to use your photo of the sawfly Abia aenea in the British Entomological Society journal of which I am editor. I understand from the person writing an account of this species I can use your photo so long as I give credit (well, it is the best photo of the sp out there!). Said author says a definitive identification can only be made under a microscope, so I will have to think of appropriate wording. I am short on colour photos to make 4 plates,so the December issue is not compiled yet for printing – I thought i had enough photos but apparently not and had to write two myself so i could include colour pics to comlpete a plate
    best wishes, John
